Course Description
The refresher program will provide the trainee with updated information related to ammendments to the legislative requirements and guidelines of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management - Accrediation and other provisions) Regulation 2005.
This will include updates to, but not limited to:
- Approved PPE for Traffic Controllers in QLD
- Authority to control traffic.
- Speed limits for controlling traffic.
- Responsibility for Traffic Controller Ahead signs.
- Location of traffic control station.
- Correct procedures for controlling traffic.
- Communication with the public.
- Two-way radio communications and protocol.
Controlling traffic at night.
- Reporting offenders.
- Removing or covering signs when not controlling traffic.
