Course Description
This unit involves planning the work for the prevailing working conditions, using the controls and operating systems to manage the operation of the equipment, locating the load and identifying the load characteristics, safely moving the load, monitoring the controls and stopping, shutting down and securing the equipment after the completion of operations.

Course Objectives
Through the combination of theory and practical training, this course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills required to safely operate a Excavator
Course Prerequisites
- Students must bring photo ID to the course. (Such as a drivers licence, 18+ card or passport)
- Students should have a good understanding of written and spoken english. *
- Log book (40 hours on-the-job training)and training plan signed off by a licensed excavator operator.
